Greenwich Foot Tunnel - opened around 1902, connecting the Docklands to Greenwich. Lifts installed in 1904 lasted for 88 years. Lifts installed in 1992 lasted for 17 years (they're still in the bewilderingly lengthy process of replacing them now). The phrase 'They don't make 'em like they used to' seems appropriate here.
The kind of mistake you really don't expect Kew Gardens to make.
Or else.   No bicycles. Or else.   A total mystery.   Our day trip to Edale might have been better had the information board at the train station been a touch more informative.  Indeed.
