Funky statues next to Perlan, looking out towards Kopavogur.   The top of Perlan - a restaurant / museum / conference center that sits on top of six very large hot water reservoirs.   Locally known as Þingvellir, with an english transliteration to Thingvellir - the original seat of parliament (out to the right) since the middle of the 10th century AD, now recognised as where the main europe and north american tectonic plates meet - pretty much up the line behind me.   Locally known as Þingvellir, with an english transliteration to Thingvellir - the original seat of parliament (just to the left) since the middle of the 10th century AD.   Looking out over the Thames, from our home. This is a blend of two shots taken with slightly different exposures (to capture the vividness of the sunset while also keeping some definition in the quite spectacular clouds) and then just overlaid one on top of the other.
