Pinewood Road, and surrounds, in Ash, Surrey, UK.  The farm opposite Pinewood Road. This shows the magic of Exposure Blending - take three photos with (top-left) normal exposure, (top-right) 1EV under-exposed, (bottom-left) 1EV over-exposed, and then run them through the GIMP's excellent Exposure Blending plug-in, and you get the bottom-right image. This has the subtler colours and textures from the sky quite visible, but equally you can see the grain in the timber on the posts to the right. It flattens the image out, and often requires a bit of manual tweaking to get it Just So, but it's still an amazing tool.
