The sign out the front of the cellars under the Basilica. The fine print there says 'Temperature is 12C - warm dress is recommended'. Ha! It was between -8 and -4 outside that day.   The cellars beneath the Basilica.   In the cellars beneath the Basilica. Ol' mate showing us around was just great - we were the only two on this hour long tour, and his passion for the history of the place was just amazing. Here he's holding up a basket that was designed to dry walnuts. Seriously.   The basilica, back-side.   Basilica again. Tall things are so easy to shoot .. just stand near them, lean back and click.   The Minaret - claim to fame is that it's the northernmost Turkish minaret in Europe. 40 metres, in case you were wondering.  It would have been about -8 at this time .. but several cups of mulled red wine were working wonders, as we wandered around the town.
