The loos at Singapore Zoo are really quite amazing .. one of the benefits of a tropical climate.   It's not often that you see two large hairy dangerous beasts in the water this close .. unless you go down to Parramatta public swimming pool on a weekend.   Georgia, with a longer snake than she's used to dealing with.

By which, of course, I mean that up the farm we usually only see death adders, and they usually only grow to about a metre, and the occasional juvenile eastern brown.   Ahh, rangas - that weird evolutionary throwback that remains a mystery to us all.

We were so pleased to be having breakfast this close to a whole family of them - it was a dream come true. And in the background you can see the two orangutans.    The primate rangas, though, come across as sage and serene.   Another small, and insanely cute monkey living in Singapore Zoo. These ones weren't behind any fences - they just lived in a small treehouse near the path, and got very excited when I got my camera bag out .. and then much less excited when I took a camera, rather than, say, a banana from it.  Another small, and insanely cute monkey living in Singapore Zoo.
