Locally known as Þingvellir, with an english transliteration to Thingvellir - the original seat of parliament (out to the right) since the middle of the 10th century AD, now recognised as where the main europe and north american tectonic plates meet - pretty much up the line behind me.  Locally known as Þingvellir, with an english transliteration to Thingvellir - the original seat of parliament (just to the left) since the middle of the 10th century AD.
